New TLX Series Hybrid KVM Solutions Delivers Industry-Leading Performance and Efficiency
MILFORD, Conn. – March 3, 2015 — Thinklogical, a global manufacturer of secure, high performance KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) extension and switching systems, today announced it will be demonstrating the extension of uncompressed 4K video with full color depth (4096 x 2160 resolution, 4-4-4 color depth) at 60Hz frame rate using only two fibers at InfoComm Connections in San Jose, Calif., March 4-5.
This innovative 4K signal management solution is enabled through the company’s new TLX series hybrid KVM matrix switches and extenders. TLX is based on an new, single-data-stream 10Gbps architecture that delivers uncompressed video, audio and peripheral data over both fiber-optic and CATx infrastructure, increasing performance, reducing cost, and minimizing the number of components and cables required when compared to alternative KVM products.
TLX extension and switching solutions offer the lowest signal latency in the industry, with no visual artifacts, jitter or lost frames, for the highest video signal quality. TLX is ideal for control rooms and other video-intensive applications found in defense and intelligence, broadcast and post-production, oil and gas, scientific research, energy and power generation and distribution, air traffic control, training, simulation and visualization.
Thinklogical also includes a unique connector on its TLX extenders that can receive both HDMI and DisplayPort cables. When combined with a Thinklogical TLX hybrid matrix switch — available in 16 to 640 port configurations — it becomes easy to intermingle, connect and switch between HDMI/DVI and DisplayPort sources and displays.
